On a basketball court you can be pretty sure what you are playing and who is on your team, even more so if you are playing one on one. The name of the game is easy and so are the rules.
Not al courts are the same nor have the same rules. Be certain you will if you only ask. >>Whom?<<
Where and who is the referee on the particular court of courtship?
How do you know if you are in over time or if you get a penalty shot? Was that three pointer legal? Is the ref blind? Probably being paid off by the other team, if you ask me.
Who’s ball is it? Was the ball even put in game in the first place?
If you have to ask, then the answer is probably no.
Is all fair in love and war? My guess is that first you must establish it is love or war before you can decide on rules or the absence thereof.
I can’t help making the comparison of past with present to reiterate that it is very simple when both teams are playing the same game. You ultimately end up on the same team.
If you feel like you are on the field playing football and the other person shows up to play skeet ball, rather than be sad, be glad that you are still ahead of the game.
