Poster Bunny of Discombobulation

tr.v. dis·com·bob·u·lat·ed, dis·com·bob·u·lat·ing, dis·com·bob·u·lates

To throw into a state of confusion.

discombobulate /ˌdɪskəmˈbɒbjʊleɪt/

▶verb humorous, chiefly N. Amer. disconcert or confuse.

– origin C19: prob. based on discompose or discomfit. (http://www.wordreference.com/definition/discombobulate)

See here word! I did not know you existed and was quite sure I had made you up in my mind. No such luck indeed. So what to do know. I’ve been thinking about this word for the past week, thinking of different uses my supposed creation would have.

– Stop! In the name of love, before you discombobulate me!!

–> I thought discombobulate actually meant something along the lines of deconstruction of something physical, perhaps more along the lines of leprosy.

–> This is an absolutely wonderful example of what a proper discombobulation can do do you. Not only will it stop you in your tracks, but you will also plead for mercy. Take this one step further and you get….

–> Ms. Granger would agree with me that he who shall not be named would not only disarm himself, but un-toe, de-tongue  and anti-materialize himself before falling prey to this discombobulation spell. The world will never be safe again if this spell gets into the wrong hands. I as Einstein cry as I foresee the demise of humankind at the mercy of my infallible discombobulation spell.

Yes, I just compared myself to Einstein, in public, no less. To be fair,  I compared my imagination. We all know imagination has no limit, so in all honesty, we could all compare our imagination to Einstein’s intelligence when it comes down to quantity. It really is your own fault if this didn’t occur to you first.

Let me tell you, this imagination thing is quite a trip… scratch that. It’s a marathon. Just as you need to go to they gym, read and do math exercises (my mathmuscle is more than flaccid) one must take the time to wonder. Just as you loose your capacity to digest lactose if you stop ingesting it, you loose the capacity to make yourself smile. So please, make this world a better place… sky is the limit.

If you keep yourself and your mind busy on such things as smiling I believe that the rest will come easier… if not, try doing a math exercise while crying, or understanding the socio-political junction while harvesting anger. I dare you…
